Croatian Ministry of Tourism Launches New Islands Project
In a move that will get each and every traveler excited, a number of US airlines have announced that they will be organizing additional European flights this summer. This comes in preparation for the inevitable increase in demand for holidays to Europe as COVID restrictions begin to cease. Among those involved are United Airlines who have added a number of flights to Croatia. This means that travel to this scenic Mediterranean wonder will be made easier in the coming months.
The news comes after the Croatian Ministry of Tourism’s announcement last week that it was launching its “Croatian Islands – COVID free zone” campaign. The campaign is further evidence of the Balkan nation’s colossal efforts to make its plentiful national parks, quaint townships, and turquoise shores as safe as possible for visiting tourists.
As the name suggests, the campaign will allow travelers to access epidemiological information on each of Croatia’s islands online before visiting. The idea for the campaign arose after it was noted that the regional COVID-19 figures did not accurately represent what was going on in each individual island. Whilst cases may be present in a specific area, some of the islands included within the county’s borders may in fact have no cases at all.
