About Us

Born in Budapest, Hungary, and has been living in the US since 2012 thanks to winning on the green card lottery, Bojana is proud to be an American citizen since 2018. She presently lives in sunny San Diego, California.

Bojana holds a Bachelor of Science in Tourism and Hotel Management from the college of Budapest Business School in Hungary. She is fluent in English, Hungarian, and Spanish. She started her career working for two years at the well-known Broadmoor resort in Colorado Springs where she mastered her customer service skills and a deep understanding of the needs of US travelers. Throughout her career, Bojana has maintained the highest performance standards with a diverse range of administrative functions. She has excellent organizational and communication skills, an outstanding work ethic.

Bojana is a true nature and adventure seeker and therefore fell in love with Croatia and its unparalleled beauty. Other than hiking the Sveti Ilija Mountain, biking in Mljet National Park, kayaking, and swimming in the azure, blue waters of the Adriatic, she even tried cliff jumping around the walls of Dubrovnik.

Her passion is traveling, getting to know different cultures, and finding local, authentic cuisines. She is also teaching yoga and has taught yoga classes on our small Adriatic cruise! With her professional background and personal travel experience visiting over 20 countries she is happy to plan your dream vacation with Adventures Croatia.

The key to customer satisfaction in the travel industry is having a consultant who is passionate and knows the region thoroughly. Marijana’s story began in Sacramento California where she was born to Croatian parents, fluent in English, German, and Croatian from childhood. Her travels began almost at birth, living in California, Hawaii, Germany, Italy, Australia, and Croatia with extensive travel throughout Europe, Asia & and the Caribbean.

Her larger work experiences started with L’Oreal International as an international sales manager, and Costa Cruise Line as a spa manager. Her vast experience in the international customer service industry and her passion for her parental homeland translated into her becoming an ambassador of Croatian gastronomy and traditions in Australia with the award-winning Restaurant Dalmatino in Melbourne. She managed to create an ad hoc institute where every Croatian could taste a piece of home and Australians could come to visit and try the traditional food and experience the culture a sort of Croatian gem in Australia. Here is where she honed her knowledge and love for indigenous Croatian wines and olive oils. One of her proudest achievements was assisting her husband in authoring a 5-star cookbook titled, “Dalmatia: Recipes from Croatia’s Mediterranean Coast”.

Returning home every year to visit her homeland she always enjoyed the road less travelled where she discovered the rich cultural history of dishes prepared for generations. After selling their successful business and relocating to Croatia she noticed a beautiful resurgence of traditions in both gastronomy and ethnology. This spurred her desire to find the finest places tied to these traditions, culture, and authentic experiences. Marijana strongly believes every traveler should visit Croatia and her desire is to share her unique expertise and knowledge to help deliver those once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Croatia is the “hidden gem” that everyone is talking about. She looks forward to assisting you with your needs and desires paired with her extensive local skills and experiences to provide the most memorable vacation experience.

Natalia is our accounting wizard from Siberia, Russia. Her passion for travel has taken her throughout her home country of Russia, and on a cross-country road trip in the United States. Croatia was the first European country she visited, and she has been in love ever since.

Prior to joining the Adventures Croatia team, she spent seven years at a CPA firm as a project manager and accounting associate, and another two years as an HR and Finance Manager for an entertainment company. Natalia studied in Moscow and received her MBA from the Plehanov Russian University of Economics.

When she’s not working, Natalia loves spending time with her family, listening to music, hiking, and discovering the rich flavors of Croatian cuisine.

Graced with an eye for beauty, Mimi can translate unique aspects of Croatia into extraordinary client experiences. She spent seven years as the Marketing Director for a Northern California regional Professional Ballet Company, following her career as a model in Tokyo and an actress on stage. Adventures Croatia benefits from Mimi’s keen business sense and experience promoting cultural institutions, skills she applies to serve up specialized access to unique and authentic elements of Croatia for the curious traveler. Mimi Kent Bohm is a bit of a nomad herself, which enables her to understand the wanderlust of our adventurers. Her Croatian ancestors were familiar with big treks too, as they relocated from the Austro-Hungarian empire to the western state of Nevada at the turn of the last century to work the mines.

A self-taught baker, Mimi is our resident Recipe Tester and tries any Croatian baked treat she can get her hands on. Look for the recipes she’s posted for us on our Blog! By land, by air, or by sea may be her motto, but Mimi suggests that by sea may provide the loveliest aspects of Croatian discovery. Mimi has been working with Adventures Croatia since 2013, keeping the business operations flowing smoothly for the team, and specializing in custom travel plans as well as private charter vessels, and small ship cruises along the gorgeous coast and islands of Croatia, occasionally weaving Montenegro, Slovenia, and Venice into customized journeys.

Pamela’s driving passion is her love of travel and discovering new places, people, and experiences. Visiting over sixty countries while owning and operating a travel business has made her a recognized and in-demand expert in creating unique and luxurious travel adventures. Over the past 12 years, Pamela has repeatedly visited Croatia and the other countries in the Balkans to ensure that she uncovers, or creates the best experiences this amazing corner of the world has to offer. As an accomplished advertising executive for over a decade while at CBS Broadcasting, Pamela was repeatedly recognized for her extreme attention to detail, creating and selling integrated marketing campaigns specifically designed for her national advertisers, media buyers, and advertising agencies. Her background in event marketing, web-based advertising, and public relations was instrumental in her being recruited to run the US operations of a small Croatian tour company. The skills and experience gained in this position propelled Pamela into building her own firm; one dedicated to providing the utmost in service, creating and selling truly client-driven itineraries as well as serving discriminating travel agents.

Pamela deeply understands the American traveler’s unique needs and interests and is a specialist in exclusive trips designed for them. She has personally planned hundreds of tours to Croatia over the past several years and is has expanded her client’s itineraries to cover more of the Balkans, to showcase the absolute finest experiences the region has to offer. With a focus on authentic cultural, culinary, and historical tours, she has received rave reviews, numerous glowing testimonials, and countless referrals because of her ability to package the best of these ancient lands into lifelong memories.
