Visit Beautiful Brač
The Croatian island of Brač is amongst one of the most beautiful islands in the world. If you’re looking for a piece of paradise with fewer crowds, then Brač is for you. You can take a quick ferry from Split to Brač in just over an hour.
Brač is more laid back than other, more famous islands. There won’t be hundreds of yachts pulling into the marina, and you will have an authentic Croatian experience when visiting. Brač is filled with valleys, fields, an abundance of pine forests, and beautiful beaches.
Brač is famous for its beautiful architecture, which was built with its native white stone. You may be familiar with Brač’s famous white stone – both the White House and Diocletian’s Palace used it!
Brač has been inhabited since Neolithic times and also was run by Bosnian kings until the late 1700s. If you are looking for more history, we recommend visiting Skrip, the island’s museum.
The largest town in Brač is Supetar. The medieval town has kept its ancient walls and when you walk down its streets, everything breathes history. We recommend walking along Supetar’s boardwalk and enjoying delicious island cuisine while taking in the views. Brač is very walkable – we recommend a guided walking tour while you’re in the area.
If you’re interested in crystal clear water and quiet beaches, we recommend visiting the small village of Bol. The best beaches are Golden Beach or Zlatni Rat, which have been named in Croatia’s top beaches.
