Croatia Travel Update – April 29th 2021
Travel to Croatia Likely to Be Available This Summer For Vaccinated Tourists
We are delighted to reveal that recent positive reports suggest that US residents who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 will be able to travel to the European Union this summer. The president of the European Commission announced that she expects all 27 member states to comply with this exciting plan to reboot tourism in time for peak season.
This means that travelers will be able to fly to Croatia for their vacation if they have been vaccinated before the time of their departure. Whilst face masks will most likely need to be worn in crowded spaces, tourists will be able to enjoy the stunning scenery, unique cuisine, and welcoming culture of this Balkan nation without the hassle of being tested on arrival and departure.
If the plan goes through, the EU will accept tourists who have received COVID-19 vaccines approved by the European Medicines Agency. This includes the three vaccines authorized for use in the US – Moderna, Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer/BioNTech. A clear timeline has not yet been provided, but the announcement is a hopeful sign of things easing up by summer for those that have received both vaccine doses and is a symbol of our much loved travel industry slowly returning to normal.
